Media you're right ... Evolution doesn't even contradict the philosophical school in the Shiite religion, as long as it is guided by "God's will".
I beg to disagree over that point, see not every religious person as the audacity to criticize his religion... Take for example the issue of the "thighing" fatwa(It's basically says that you can married to a toddler and dry hump her... and you can have regular sex after her first mensuration,which was regular on the days of the Mohammed). Everyone in my family disagreed and disgusted with the thought of someone dry humping a little girl, but they didn't have the courage of thinking their religion over.
People in my society rarely question religion... the majority are really good willed people although they tend to stick with their religion, mainly because it gives you an identity and a community to live with. When they see these obviously wrong stuff in their own religion, they tend to paint their own image of religion ... like saying that evolution may be way we were "created" but only through "God's guidance".
