I guess I'm just god damn sick of having this tired old struggle always sitting in the back of my head. I don't fucking want it anymore.

I can appreciate what you're going through. As the dad of an inquisitive ten year old, I find it's a balancing act. His mother has filled his head with what I consider to be religious bullshit, I on the other hand try to teach him to seek his own answers.

"I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer. Those three little words lead to questions, questions lead to investigation, and investigation leads to discovery. Discovery leads to knowledge and knowledge leads to wisdom.
