The school and teachers would in no way push for other students to join...(only the students/parents would be able to make the choice on their own) and the prayer time would only be offered during their recess or break period thereby not actually taking time away from actual education.
Kids can pray all they want in school now. They can sit there and look at their test papers and ask Pappy Jesus to help them till they turn blue in the face and it is not in the least bit illegal. I think they would have been better off studying but that's my opinion.
What they cannot do is grab the public address system and start babbling on about their fucking god... and that's what people like you really want. You don't really give a flying fuck about prayer. What you want is CONFORMITY.
Ask yourself if you would be as passionate about prayer if the Muslim Student Union wanted to get on their knees and blow kisses to Allah five times a day?
I don't expect you answer to answer honestly.
The Moslems are the main issue when it comes to prayer because unlike Christians, they just can't pray silently: they have to go through the whole kit and caboodle. I don't agree with their religion, but I don't feel it is just to deny them from practicing their religion.
What I want is freedom for people to be able to express their beliefs in public as I am very much against Fascist conformity of any kind....it's extremely boring not to mention extremely intolerant and prejudice.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
