So let me get this straight. Your Peter and Revelations quotes are contrasts?
You're not making sense, what's your point?
My point is that Peter promoted freewill in that passage and was in the new testament. Revelations promoted blind obedience to all of the bible and was in the old. New testament is more popular than old testament. You ever wonder why that is? You ever consider it might not just be the fact it doesn't promote killing everyone (although it certainly promotes killing quite afew) but that it allows people to pick and choose?
The New Testament was like a PR campaign. Do you really think anyone would really follow the Bible today if it hadn't been added on? It allowed you to pick and choose which means you can just ignore the old testament and the bits you don't like.
So my point is that the truth has very little to do with what the Bibles for. It just lets people mix and match their own little system of beliefs by cherry picking.
