Manowar, if you pay taxes, then you have been paying for every single uninsured person who went to the emergency room and couldn't pay their bill. The reason hospital visits are obscenely expensive, the reason they charge 10 dollars for a goddamn tylenol is to alleviate the loss from the average, uninsured person who needs medical help but can't foot the bill. That then falls onto the hospital, and ultimately John Q Taxpayer.
My question for you is, do you like civilization? Do you enjoy living in a society where people don't have to pay the fire department to save their house? Where they don't have to pay the police to investigate a crime? Where you don't have to pay a teacher to teach your kid? Then this very diluted, very flawed healthcare overhaul is just another part of that. The goal is universal, single payer healthcare for everyone. This is the first step. This is civilization coming to the nascar hat wearing dumbasses who think Rush Limbaugh walks on water. Small steps. You don't like it you can just geeeeettttt oooouuuuurrrrttt derp.

"In our youth, we lacked the maturity, the decency to create gods better than ourselves so that we might have something to aspire to. Instead we are left with a host of deities who were violent, narcissistic, vengeful bullies who reflected our own values. Our gods could have been anything we could imagine, and all we were capable of manifesting were gods who shared the worst of our natures."-Me
"Atheism leaves a man to sense, to philosophy, to natural piety, to laws, to reputation; all of which may be guides to an outward moral virtue, even if religion vanished; but religious superstition dismounts all these and erects an absolute monarchy in the minds of men." – Francis Bacon
