Jesus didn't put a disclaimer on his statement and since your 'word of god' is flawless, we can assume that there is no mistaking what he meant since it MUST be word for word from his very mouth. Lets try this again ...What everyone else seems to get but you still do not is in Luke 11 and again in Mat 6 Christ gives us an outline in how we should pray or rather What You Should Ask In Prayer, and does Not open the Floor for prayer to be a Wishing Cermony.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Yes Christ says ask anything you want in Prayer But at the same time Here is what a Prayer looks like. And it doesn't look like a free for all. It is a way for you to square yourself with His will not change his will to match yours.
IQuote: knows MANY devout christians who begged god on their knees with tears in their eyes to save their loved ones. They were (and somehow still are) TRUE believers. None the less, they did not receive what they asked for.Again, what they were doing is petitioning God and not praying.(nothing wrong with that but it is not prayer) Christ gave us a model of prayer and 95% of it is about God's will being done, what we are allowed to ask for are our daily needs. that's it. That is what a prayer looks like. That is what Christ promises will be answered. If one learns to ask for what God wants us to have then we will have in abundance. However if one simply wants to name and claim what he wants then he will be doing that for some time.
Quote:So either you're a liar or your god is a liar. Which is it?There is a third option I do not think you have considered. You just do not understand the difference between formal Prayer,(The Prayer Christ told us how to pray,) and what your 'experiences' has defined prayer to be. Simply saying: "Dear Lord" in the beginning, then dumping your wish list, and ending with "Amen" DOES NOT a Prayer Make. Again, look to Christ's Model of Prayer to define what a prayer should look like. If it does not follow this model then it is not a prayer.
Get ready for a serious steaming pile of apologist's bull shit.

So, simple faith? Or do you have some sort of 'proof?'
Oh, I thought you were asking for his motive.
If God made everything, he made both cancer and the five-year old children who are tragically susceptible to it, and if God is all-knowing, he must have been aware of this and made this lethal compatibility intentionally. So, it's kind of hard to blame anything else for little Jimmy's leukemia, even if God isn't pointing his finger and giving kids the cancer directly.
so if you were a gun manufacture you are responsiable for all murder and crimes committed with a gun of your design? Or are those crimes a product of free will and your gun becomes a tool for someone to excersize their own will over another.
If you have a problem with guns then replace with a hammer or a car or medicine, or anything else used is such away to excersize one person's will over another. The Gun is a tool, but because of we live in a Realm apart from the will of God, we have now become responsiable for managing everything in that realm.
Cancer still exists because man has fallen short of his responsiablity to rule this world. Cancer and bad things like it are the result of living outside of God's protection or plan. Cancer and all other bad things can go away, but you are going to have to trade your ablity to sin for it. rather you will have to trade 'free will' inorder to live under God's rule. so you decide. If you want to rid the world of Cancer then learn to pray "God's will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven." if you want to live for your self and go on blaming God because you do not want to yield to Him, then you are free to do that as well. You have that 'choice.'
