If the latter then what distinguishes that from the very definition of a human sacrifice?
This question is equally directed at Drich and Godschild as well as yourself.
You've never answered my question as to whether "cherrypicking" is allowed or not.
If you are under the impression that the Bible is 100% infallible, then I would be wasting my time responding to you.

So then, what do you think of this?
Jeremiah 8:8-9
New International Version (NIV)
8 “‘How can you say, “We are wise,
for we have the law of the LORD,”
when actually the lying pen of the scribes
has handled it falsely?
9 The wise will be put to shame;
they will be dismayed and trapped.
Since they have rejected the word of the LORD,
what kind of wisdom do they have?
