Aid from Western countries to the developing world is enormous. Thor has already outlined one of the main reasons that it has a limited effect.
Even if it's true that other PEOPLE could do more, the question still remains: Why would God intervene in a football game and not in the suffering of millions? Your response doesn't at all answer this question, it just shifts the blame and asserts that it's not God's problem to help these people. Why is it our slack and not his when realistically only he has the power to change it?
God - All powerful
People - Limited
Can this be any clearer?
