What time was that? The general conclusion on Homer is that he lived sometime between 1200 and 600 BC with the period 750-650 being the most favored as that is when Greek writing began to emerge from the mists of time.
Like your jesus, though, there is more myth to Homer than reality.
In any case, apparently nobody but Wright ( who must thus be considered Wrong) places him in the first century AD.
