Originally, I was raised Catholic. Their view is that Jesus told Peter to form a church and that Jesus would support whatever church Peter formed. Catholicism is based on the idea that Peter formed the Catholic church and was the first pope and, therefore, any other church isn't legitimate. But, then, every branch of every religion says their way is right and everyone else is wrong.
That being said, I think he's full of balogna and it's damaging him and the world. For example, AIDS is an epidemic in Africa and while secular groups are trying to teach safe sex, teaching the biology behind viruses, handing out condoms and getting people tested, the pope is telling people that condoms cause AIDS. People believe him and the virus spreads.
That being said, even the pope is going to have to change with the times. I'm sure the pope used to make the case for racism and slavery and they had plenty to say in defense of their anti-semitism, especially during World War 2. They've changed on those, and they'll change their tune on AIDS, homosexuals and female priests...... eventually.
I'm game. Why is it so difficult to find black nail polish except around Halloween? I love how black nail polish looks on me!

Now let's talk about something more interesting... like nail polish!
