It is a pretty funny story, most of all because if horse meat was actually sold legally, no doubt it would be sold as a delicacy and be more expensive than beef.
However, there is a deeper side to this that people clearly don't give a shit about.
The reason people were squeezed into doing this was partly due to EU law. It fucks over so many farmers and businesses to the point where the supply is lower than the demand, especially with the economy being cunted.
They are forced into producing lower quality goods from abroad.
Now big Dave and his pals at the EU can use EU law to raid people responsible in Romania, giving license to the big supermarkets to sell whatever the fuck they want because it isn't their fault.
Meanwhile, if a local butcher did this they would be shut down, forced to compensate, and none of their other products would be trusted if they ever opened again.
