Your death is not a true death, quite the oppsite, it is your spiritual birth into eternity. Christ liken our death as a seed that has been planted. In order for grow and prosper into our fullest potential there is the destruction of the orginal seed/shell. Meaning our death in this life is just our introduction in the next. So inorder for you to die, truly die one must be sent to Hell.
Like everyone else here, left alone... if there is such a thing as an immortal soul, I want mine to be obliterated into nothingness, no heaven, no hell, no purgatory, just nothing.... back to what it was before I was conceived.
So I ask again is this what you really want?
Quote:Indeed, what will keep all those souls busy for an eternity?I don't know, but in an infinate universe the possiablities are indeed infinate.
Quote:I thought that your god boy had the Universe taken care of, whats with the requirement of servants?God is the God that placed the natural world/universe in motion. With that in Mind why wouldn't there be a need for servants to maintain what needs to be taken care of... Look at The expressed reason God created man to begin with (To maintain the garden) Then look at the Charge he Gave man when he expelled him from the garden: To take care of the earth through the sweat of our brow.
Quote:And the only alternative to servitude is eternal suffering? Sounds a lot like something men would make up to keep ignorant people in line...Hell is seperation, Suffering only comes in to play when one regrets what he has thrown away. For some I would even dare to say 'suffering' is a non issue.

Quote:I haven't, so I can't say I want it. I can say I don't want it because I know it entails forever, and that is something I don't want.We can not truly know what 'forever' means as we are finite, that is unless we are shown.
Quote:I don't want to live forever: I can't think of anything worse. As I pointed out Hell is the second death, it is call the grave for a reason. You maybe one who will not 'suffer' in Hell, but then again you do not know the scope and the depth of God's eternity either, so who knows for sure.

Nothing abhors me more than the thought of a living forever, so like everyone else, instead of assuming I'm going to a magical fairy land of punishment, just be left alone and dead is enough. I've had my life, and its much more fulfilling and amazing knowing its finite.
See my comment to Joel..

The concept of hell is immoral as a place of eternal torment. Eternal torment for minor infractions as well.
So in this imagined scenerio I would say oblivion was a better choice.
Would you endure Hell to find your oblivion?

Hell is fiction...just like the rest of your bullshit religion, Drippy.
Unless you can produce actual evidence for it?
(Didn't think so.)
If you really want proof then just A/S/K.

It's a fictional place, it's fun to tease Christians about the supposed omnibenevolence of their God in the face of their scripture but not worthy of a serious discussion.
Because it's fun to watch them squirm with all kinds of mental gymnastics, like claiming that people make the choice to go to hell.
Plus, how a person tries to justify the concept of hell in their religion gives great insight into their character. For example, I can only assume after reading this thread that Drich likes to kick puppies and push old people down the stairs.
Don't forget about smashing babies against rocks.. (In addition to the puppies and stairs.)
