RE: Atheism - less war?

I'd call it convenience. It's an association fallacy and extremely simplistic. The man attended a religious primary school and then seminary. He actively suppressed information about himself (as paranoid dictatorial fucks often do) and so establishing that he was even an atheist as opposed to a politician who found atheism to be a useful platform (as so often happens with religion as well) is shaky - at best (not mind you, that I'd care hide or hair if the man believed in a god or not). Meanwhile, it is demonstrably true that his communist parties distaste for religion was very accurately a distaste for mixed loyalties. "Thou shalt have no god before the state".
