Funny, most of the intelligent people I have met have been religious even if it was just a weak form of belief in their particular faith.
Mind you, I have not spent much time in the Midwest (historic Midwest either; I automatically think of this region when I think of Fundies) or the Deep South.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
