Pope Notanasshole I Wrote:“You ask me if the God of the Christians forgives those who don’t believe and who don’t seek the faith. I start by saying – and this is the fundamental thing – that God’s mercy has no limits if you go to him with a sincere and contrite heart. The issue for those who do not believe in God is to obey their conscience.
“Sin, even for those who have no faith, exists when people disobey their conscience.”
That sound you hear is ronedee simmering in a puddle of his own boiling ragepoop.
Indeed - the religion has finally recognized that is most important base - those that can SUPPORT the religion with money - is dying out and being replaced by people in third world countries who cannot afford to eat properly for themselves much less support the religion.
So - it has to do something to make itself relevant - but cannot find any real reason for that because the house of cards is already fallen - and it cannot get back up.
It was EDUCATION - something largely supported by religion - that signaled the end of religion among the Western Europeans and Americans who now no longer believe in Larger and Larger numbers to the point where religion is dying out.
When I was younger - and being raised to be a priest (WHich I never became) - the statement from the church was "Many are called but few are chosen" - and there were plenty of priests. TODAY apparently - with the incredible shortage of priests - and clergy of other religions in general - there are none being called to be chosen from!!!!
