Atheism repersented a very small part of the communities found in Major cities, and very rarly found in the townships and in the back woods where witches were burned.
Witch burnings were held and excuted by popular demand/fear from the majority of a community. If Atheist lived in these communities they were not voical about their beliefs lest they too were burned.
The atheist then were as the German citizens who lived in death camp towns, but did nothing to stop the injustice, therefore making them guilt by assoceiation.
