I'm definitely no expert on the subject of tissue elasticity, but I have been stabbed, superficially anyway, by round objects- rebar, drill bits, a screwdriver and pencils. Once removed, I can say that the hole left behind appears smaller. I've declined medical attention thinking it was a lesser injury. Your earlier statement about a 6mm hole from a 6.5mm round didn't pose a problem to my mind.
