You know that many of us here actually like having Christians on these board to discuss with? Calling them a "Jesus-freak asshole" doesn't do anything but create hostility that's completely unnecessary and discourages them from coming here at all.

You don't have to respect a thing they say, but sinking to lowly personal insults makes you look just as bad.

For the most part, I dislike incredibly so the premise of posting a specific news article over to moronic preachers who chose to throw themselves into an unsafe environment and then got a cap popped in their asses.

Chose to throw themselves into an unsafe environment? That's idiotic, they were preaching on a corner and were gunned down, how is that any less tragic than any individual being gunned down on a street corner?

I dislike the premise that these folks are glaring exceptions in the regular news, whereas some average person in that area will be murdered heinously yet they most likely won't be reported or made an issue of

It's a murder that is rather rare in nature that was reported in a local news article, how is this any different from any other unusual crime being reported?

I dislike the premise that just because you serve some faith and push it onto others, you deserve special mention for doing an unsafe activity and special consideration.

I don't know how you consider preaching unsafe, it's irritating sure, but so is the guy shouting out trying to sell newspapers on the corner, is that an unsafe job too? If that's the case then you might as well consider every job unsafe because there is always the chance that someone will unload a few rounds into you while you do it.

They didn't get "Special" consideration either, it's not like it was a major national news source reporting an isolated drive by in a small community, it was a local news source reporting a local event. It got in the news because while there are a lot of murders it is fairly rare for preachers to be shot down on a street corner.

Also, in the field of Christians on this site, my favorite is tackattack and fr0d0. Neither demand as much special consideration as a few others do. And at least both are willing to take vitriol in good stride, something that I deeply find appreciable.

Exactly what special consideration are you taking about?

And yeah i agree about Tackattack being awesome, Fr0d0 is a bit of a weasel and Rjh4 can be a little dense at times but at least they all put effort into discussion and are fun to talk with (Fr0d0 less so than the other two).
