There is a saying, the confidence of amateurs is the envy of professionals. When I qualified I knew everything about how the lower limb works. I understood it completely. 16 years of study, a higher degree, several published papers and a good deal of post graduate lecturing and a modest amount of research later I have learned one basic truth.
