Yeah, this is why I tend to champion positions, and not people. People are just collections of viewpoints, some of which I'll agree with, and some I won't, that's kind of what you'd expect from humans interacting with one another. If I like a person's work enough to recommend them, I'm still not obligated to agree with every position they have, no matter how glowing I've been with my praise for them in the past. Nor am I required to abandon their work entirely the minute they profess a position that disagrees with my sensibilities- though it's wise to keep that position in mind so as to track how it might affect their other positions later on.
