It did. When you die and become nothing, you exit time-space and thus become what is. The process is continuous.
Imagine you travel at the speed of light outside our galaxy, then your life-support ends and you die. Where do you go? Do you stay trapped out there forever? Of course not, because when you die you exit time space, so it matters not where you are and for how long you are. Get it?
The point of life is to find a way not to die while you're still alive and still got a chance. Then if you die, it means the conditions that arised were not favorable enough to sustain life and so the universe tries again...as we speak, there's an infinity of Universes trying and trying and there surely is a place where there's no such thing as death.
There are tons of planets that don't support life and are a failure, maybe Earth is a failure among planets sustaining life. Maybe life isn't meant to end. Maybe you've got it all wrong all along. Maybe all this religion appeared as a poor attempt to explain the unexplainable: Why we have to die. Maybe we don't. Maybe we are a failure and you got no clue whatsoever. None of us do.
