Why do so many forum members presuppose that everyone who claims to be a Christian is one?

Repent and believe the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is forgiveness for everyone who repents. God's forgiveness does not mean there are no consequences for sin (jail, diseases, death, etc.). It does mean we are not eternally condemned.

It is not true that Christ's death is a "sin all you want" card. Repent. No one who lives a life of of willful sin is in Christ (a Christian).

1Should we sin so that grace may abound? By no means. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. So we should distrust your claim to be a Christian then?
