So they keep saying. Then again, according to the 2012 dispatches from the conservative bubble, Romney was a shoe-in.
As little as I want them to gain more power than they already have, a part of me is content to give them all the rope they need. Even the dim-bulb working class rubes who vote for them can't be deceived forever. You can only play the God and guns card for so long before it yields ever diminishing returns -- especially if your social and fiscal policies are antithetical to the interests of the very people who provide the votes sufficient to gain and hold power.
