Perhaps you underestimate yourself

I'm interested to know more about this, in what way is your idea different?
No, my estimates of myself are often far too high.
What I mean by this is that no one can love unless they have been indwelt by the Holy Spirit:
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." (1 John 4:7,8)
The world may claim it knows what love is but it does not. I didn't know what love was for 21 years of my life. I learnt love through the gospel, yet I so often fall far short of love's high standard. Wretched man that I am.
