When I think "what is love?", I don't think "meaningless, gore-soaked empty gestures" qualifies. You could snap your fingers and end every bad thing in an instant, and this is the best you can come up with?
I mean, it's not even a unique death or anything. Many people have suffered far worse deaths than Christ would have on the cross, if it had actually happened.
