Well, I can say that, at least, I don't try to manipulate him, but I do think I unintentionally steer him towards atheism. I mean, if I'm reading a news article on atheism or watching a youtube vid on atheism or anything like that, it has an influence on him. It's especially easy for that to influence him because he's just so passionate about science and when he hears some of the garbage science that comes from religious corners, he just gets this perplexed look on his face, like he's wondering "What is wrong with his head that he could actually believe something so stupid?!?"
Not to mention, he's been kinda scarred by his upbringing and religion in general. It's hard to really embrace something that's hurt you as much as his church has hurt him (not to mention, hearing some of the bizarre rantings of his schitzophrenic biological father, that's also going to turn you away from the church).
