It is indeed a possibility that they may ask me to stay on and continue to teach the catechism. However, how long that would be permissable and plausible is quite another thing. My constitution for such gross dichotomy between the personal and professional would almost give rise to some contentious possibilities.
That, and it always possible that colleagues may cast me as the turncoat - though this is not particularly likely. I cannot bear the thought of those I have love and respect for being completely without such sentiments for me.
In short...I would be unlikely to accept such a compromise for any longer than would be necessary to find a new position elsewhere.
