Don't use single verses of the quran this is a waste of time.
Even if the verse is politically incorrect it doesn't matter because you don't know god doesn't want men to have more power and to beat their wives if they fear rebellion from them and so on.
Also they will just say it means something different in arabic no matter how many translations you show them.
All I usually do is remind them that they really REALLY believe gods best way to communicate to the world in every time and place by telling an angel to tell a man who can't write to recite some words to his friends who could write 1400 years ago.
And as I mentioned before it's difficult to find two muslims who have the same idea of what the qurans translations mean. Same goes for the hadith.
Just let me stress this even more, they believe the almighty creator of the universe, the guy who can just say "be" to some dust and it will turn into a man, that guy, he wanted to communicate with the world now and he does it in one language, and from a 1400 year old book. And even the people who speak this language don't get the same message from the book.
I can guarantee when you tell them this they will tell you about 100 000 of the supposed scientific miracles of the quran that makes their cult different from other cults and you will look over them all and it will be boring and take you a hell of a long time and you will find that all of them are senseless and some of them are just insane.
