Fuhrer directive 175 called for immediate execution of anyone caught in a homosexual act while in combat area. There was to be no appeal of sentence.
This order also applied to the SS ,which was a first.
SS always had the right,in the past, to appeal death sentences directly to the Fuhrer for review; this right was done away with ,after winter 42.
It also demoralizes the family structure and creates disunity which can have an effect on the war effort.
What a brilliant historical example of how fucked-up a priority this is.
