For that matter, why bother at all with an ark? If blinking every living thing into existence by magic was so easy to do the first time, why not go that route again? Perhaps consider a couple of upgrades?

Or just move on to another planet! This god supposedly made the countless worlds in the observable universe, and he's so very moral such that he's the only way we know that killing is bad, so why not skip the genocide altogether, fuck off and leave Earth alone, and try again on a new playing field? It's not like he was attached to any specific creature he'd made the first time, he was going to kill them all!
