Although I understand the value of helping others through intelligence and such, the fact of the matter is that I as a person will be nothing without pleasure regardless of how much I help others and I will never be able to receive pleasure in helping others nor will I get a sense of living or my life being worth living through pleasure.

I'm not talking about helping others, I'm talking about helping yourself and unburdening those supporting you while you are permanently joy seeking.

But if it were a choice of unburdening those people for the sake of never experiencing any amount of pleasure whatsoever and that no matter what I do, I could never experience any amount of pleasure ever again, then the argument I just made there also holds true for this situation as well.
