The quote based on the German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, is not completely accurate because there may be a "god" but it is not Jesus! There is a universal and neutral "god" in the universe.

It appears verbatim in several places, in particular
"Gott ist tot! Gott bleibt tot! Und wir haben ihn getötet!"
("God is dead! God remains dead! And we have killed him!")
from "die fröhliche Wissenschaft", also taken up in "Also sprach Zarathustra"

And his name is Nietzsche, for dead god' s sakes.Big Grin
