I have a friend with schizophrenia & she describes her episodes / symptoms very similarly to what you are describing above, except with cartoon characters.
You may want to go talk to a psychiatrist.

Ever heard of the Great Wall of China? Three Gorges Dam? Hell, the Hoover Dam? They are making man made *islands* in Dubai & Japan. All of these are much, much bigger engineering projects than the pyramids.
