Don't get me wrong, I'd tell my kids how unlikely I find that whole god idea and why, because I'd never hide my thoughts. I'll tell em about occams razor, about bayes law, about the power of naturalism in our understanding of the world. I'd just never say "this is what it's like, no god, end of discussion". I won't give god ideas equal time, but I won't teach atheism either, whatever that means. If they ask questions, there'll always be - what do you think, and how do you know, how can you find out?
One thing though, if someone tells them about going to hell or some such nonsense, and they're scared, fuck critical thinking, it's made up crap, no need to worry.
