Churches need to prove that what they do is in line with not-for-profit status. It's ridiculous that some of these churches get to make as much money as they want, and not have to prove that they're earning that right, like any other non-profit and/or charitable organization does. Why does woo get special treatment?
I'm all for granting tax deductions when a religious organization can prove it's doing charitable things; I just think that if you claim you should be exempt from taxes, you should be able to back that claim up.
