Damn, I just watched an episode of QandA with Lawrence Krauss and Gene Robinson, and Gene was asked how he reconciles being a Christian bishop and a homosexual. It's buried within the 60 minute episode, and I couldn't find just the clip of that part. He had a really good answer. He said when the bible says a man shouldn't lay with another man, it doesn't mean it in the way we understand it today; as a committed, loving relationship. Damn it, he put it so much better than I can right now. Someone find that clip.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue
