I would love to see a concerted effort on the part of some of the better coders who identify as anonymous to rip the violent muslim fundies a new one online. Crash their servers, trash their phones, make it really seriously difficult to use social media to recruit and organize. But only time will tell.

not a chance in Hell. The gov't doesn't want to work with grey-hat or black-hat coders, they know better.
But these guys don't need funding. The really talented ones have plenty of income already. And cracking code is essentially free anyways - all it takes is time and skillz.
I would join anonymous because i have to knowledge to do such things but... hell i like being free and not getting tabs on me.
