RE: Girl dies of stupid parents

Let's consider for a moment purely the ethics of this situation: the little girl is understandably in horrible pain, and asks her parents to stop the treatment (this is essentially what happened, you can't tell me the parents were unaware of the whole thing).
Now, if jesus wasn't mentioned, would the parents have stopped the treatment? I highly suspect not. So that is the problem, if I am right. Life or death ethical situations being decided by mythology. I hope anyone in their right mind can see a problem with this. It's irrelevant whether the girl really did think she saw jesus, or whether she made it up because she thought it would work. And if theists want to just unquestioningly believe everything a child says, one under intense pain and pressure, then they are more gullible than I thought.
