Why should people not see this film?

This film is anything but inappropriate, but people watching it might start to question the story of Jesus. And we all know, once someone starts to question it, it is very likely they will come to think of it as the bullshit it is.

So, it is better to just stamp it as inappropriate and try to make sure as little people as possible get to see it. For some religious people this is enough as they prefer to blindly follow their religious leaders advice. I can imagine if a priest in a church would say this film is inappropriate, most of the people in his congregation will avoid it.

The thing is, by condemning it, they gave it more publicity, which got more people to see it. Really, if they had been smart about this, they would have just ignored it. But instead they helped get more people to see the film.

The condemnation approach works when one has the authority to actually ban it and stop it from being shown. But otherwise, it is counterproductive for their interests.

And its a good thing thing too they wen't and gone down the irrational road of trying to "fix" things.
