If anything my fault is that I love people too much, when they don't deserve it and when it hurts me.
I just can't stop bouncing back and forth between thinking they're awful people for what they've done and thinking it's not their fault because of what religion has done to them and what they've been through.
I'm thinking my conclusion needs to be that they're awful people and it's not their fault.
If they are doing awful things they are responsible for their actions, don't let them off the hook for their actions, but forgive them for your own health. You understand what I'm saying. The reason anyone thought you might develop a hate for them is because of what you say they have done to you. Do you realize that if you will live in joy they will live in misery. Some of the things I've said here are from the scriptures, even if you do not want to believe, there is good advice in the Bible to have in your life.
People make out of religion what they want, doesn't mean they are right nor does it make Christianity as Christ taught wrong, people who choose to use Christianity as a weapon are teetering on the edge. People who live by Christ's words can't act like what you have described, no way.

Nope, see here is the part you miss, which all religions miss. It is built into the idea itself, to divide. It is why both left and right Christians use the same books with the exact same words, to justify the other as being wrong. But all religions do this. Sunnis and Shiites divide over what the Koran says.
If you accept that religion can be used as a weapon, then maybe you need to understand yourself that it is a bad idea as a human construct. Holy books are weapons, used by the violent and non violent to justify both.
I would suggest you consider that our species ability to be cruel or compassionate is in our evolution and not in the books people of any religion buy into.
The truth is that humans are the ones doing good and bad, and that is because we are doing it. There is no magic super hero or magic super villain battling over the neurons in human's brains to get them to be good or bad. WE are doing it.
We can see the same acts of cruelty and compassion in other primates and mammals. Our species behavior, good or bad is evolutionary, not magic.
