Christians can eat ham...the only thing a Christian cannot actually eat is blood (not even sure there is a verse about being against cannibalism; it's just implied that it's wrong).
You were demeaning from the first post, so I don't think you really should complain if one of your friends called you out.
If speaking out and telling the truth about this holiday offends some christians, then that is not on me. I am only responsible for what I say, not what others understand. Look in your bible where it says that you shall not eat anything with a cloven (split) hoof. Look in your bible where it says you shall not wear mixed fabrics. None of that is demeaning but rather directly pulled from the bible itself. If you think it is demeaning, then maybe you should re-read your bible.
Edited: If you think that pulling laws from the bible so many christians claim to follow is demeaning, then that is something you'll have to deal with, not me.
