It's not the casualty that will do them in. It is the fact Islam doesn't do much to lift Islamic societies out of backwardness into modern wealth and plenty.
Islam has been the reason why Islamic societies are generally backwards, poorly organized, unproductive, and lacking in ability to adopt modernity. But pride and resentment against the west for rubbing their faces in their own impotence has thus far allowed all but the most thoughtful Muslims to pretend it is not what they think of as their own culture and religious tradition that is the source of their gross inadaquacy, and pretend instead their inadaquacy is everyone else's fault and their solution must lie in something they think uniquely distinguishes them.
But once islam has assumed the mantle of being the solution, it only a matter of time when its credibility is trashed by its being unable to solve the problem to which it had claimed to be the solution.
In 30 years, the fact that those under them thumb of radical Islam would be even poorer, weaker, less adequately fed and clothed, and have less ability to avail themselves of modern benefits that so many nonislamic societies easily adopts, will spread disrepute for Islam amongst those whom Islam is making the swiftest inroad now.
