Then...as happens every mid-term....the republicunts win. The only thing saving us right now is that every 4 years people get off their asses and smack the republicunts down. Otherwise, we go over the cliff. The system isn't going anywhere. That's a pipe dream.
If you think that way sure, I think dems can win midterms they just have to be willing and strong enough and think long term and everyday.
Nothing wrong with our system at all, it is how one party has gamed it that is the problem. You let them win then you get what you deserve. If we can beat Carl Rove and the Koch brothers in two presidential elections I see no reason other than voter apathy stopping us from winning midterms.
It took 30 years for the GOP to put us in this mess. I do see however times changing and workers pushing back. It isn't one day or one election, this for dems has to use the same long term thinking the GOP has unfortunately and successful done. But we can undo it. I am not giving up.
Every voice counts, every day, big voices and small voices. It does add up.
Even outside the issue of politics, seeing how small the atheist voice was in 01 compared to now and the tons of famous atheists authors and scientists and tons of atheist websites and seeing stories about atheists on the web now, it is night and day.
If we apply every voice we can everywhere we can every day, it does add up.
