At the start...we were buying body armor (and camelbacks - and basic hand tools which we were required by command to have) out of pocket. The stores were fully stocked, of course. Anyone remember that? Hey....y'all ever wonder what cooks do when they're deployed...guess what..they don;t cook. They pretend that they were trained to be infantry, but that;s okay, because Mama Brown(and root) is in thew dfac cooking up mongolian barbeque (which is delicious, btw) which they then charge you, John Q Taxpayer...the price of a minor caliphate for.
