RE: Ceteloguing the Tricks Theists Play

With religious theism, that is certainly true. Can you imagine someone coming to all these conclusions about "Jesus" and so on if no one ever mentioned his name? Me thinks not.
Even those not being directly indoctrinated still get a kind of second hand smoke effect where the mythology that surrounds them gets absorbed. This can be enough in some cases to draw people in.
People could believably come to a philosophical theism independent of any discussion I think. Weirdly, I came to the tentative conclusion of determinism when I was quite young, before I realized it had a name or that it was already a recognised philosophy. I thought I'd figured out something amazing and new!
