I think that's what the reference is here. I personally would be relieved if this rule was expanded because a certain person has quoted me using the same two quotes, more than three times now. He does it when there's absolutely no reason to do so and I think he's being abusive in that it lets him get away with too much, regarding that rule. Both quotes he uses of mine were from two completely different threads, yet he tries to misrepresent their actual meanings all the time. The rule, as it stands the way it is now, lets individuals bully other people and get away with it - at least where this issue goes.
I'm in favor of a rule change. Honestly, if anything, to stop the bullshit. When misquoting someone, dragging up irrelevant quotes and intentionally misusing them in order make a point is done on a regular basis and it derails the thread topic, the person needs to be sent a message that this won't be tolerated.
TBH, I'm getting tired of the redundancy that's used and no one stepping in and taking action aside from saying saying enough is enough. I have to defend myself in other aspects of my life. Clearly, if someone is bullying someone else in this manner, something other than the statement of "we need to get this thread back on topic" or the like would be helpful. Like a suspension or banning all together if the offender keeps doing it.
