Like I said I'm not sure how to close the argument, in the logical sense, so it's not a Russel's teapot argument. What I am saying is it's impossible for us to know whether there is a God or not. Hell we don't even know the true nature of existence or its beginnings (sure the big bang... nothing was there and then it exploded), so therefore it is close-minded to completely dismiss the idea. What you can argue is that there isn't a personal God, since he sure doesn't give a rat's ass what happens on Earth, that's pretty evident.
By making the assertion that God does not exist, as in strong atheism, you do so without any way of proving your conviction. A belief made without proof is faith.
