Youth pastor agrees to 27-year sentence for blackmailing boys into performing sex acts online
Pastor Higgins adopted the persona of a teenage girl on Snapchat and Instagram to meet young boys, introducing himself as “Julie Miller” and sending a photo of an unidentified teenage girl.
In return, Higgins received nude photos the boys took of themselves, the prosecutor said in a statement.
“Immediately upon receiving those images, he would take a screenshot of the victim’s friends list that was visible on the forward-facing social media platform,” Bradshaw said.
“Higgins would send that screenshot back to the victim and threaten to send the nude photos he had just received to the list of the victim’s friends unless the victim did exactly what Higgins demanded,” Bradshaw said.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
