Vaccination exemption in CA, personal down, medical up

Where do the schools find ten extra classrooms and ten extra teachers, 1D through 10-D. More to the point, why should they?

My reasoning is it's probably pretty rare that a kid without vaccines for legitimate medical reasons (cancer, serious immune issues, etc) would be going to school in the first place. I think many of those poor children have to resort to being taught at home due to their illness and general vulnerability. I can't imagine there would be that many of them in the same grade at the same school to where it couldn't be arranged to keep him/her in a different classroom as the other non vax kids.

Really, the fact is that, in most cases, separate classes for anti-vaxxed kids (as opposed to the unvaxxable kids you bring up freqently) would most likely follow two separate models, and both have serious drawbacks.

The first would be a sort of special-ed model, with a smaller group of kids that would likely have to involve hiring more teachers, and the drawback of this is that it will likely involve a very different resource allocation for schools (and that can be a very difficult task for schools).

The other, likely more viable option is putting them in separate schools. And, of course, apart from the logistical problems of such a plan, there's still the distinct possibility of an outbreak. Here's a couple examples of places with low levels of vaccination becoming a source for outbreaks.
