Well, that should obviously be our goal for every day of the year.

I couldn't agree more raayan... unfortunately this is not so ...such is the human condition and the ways of people.
Again, my very best wishes for you and yours always.

Hey Bebe...
After doing that quick flick through Wiki i found that "Hogswatch" is based on the Scottish Hogmanay?

I prefer to say "Happy Snoggletog" ever since I'd watched Gift of the Night Fury.
Celebrating a holiday meant for vikings and dragons makes about as much sense as celebrating Christmas, probably more, since dragons aren't gods going around getting virgin women pregnant with superhuman children.
Happy Snoggletog!

I don't celebrate Christmas, because I'm a Muslim, but I understand what you mean by saying that and that's why don't have a problem with it.
I just wouldn't say "Merry Christmas" to a Muslim because they don't celebrate it. I wouldn't say it to any random person either because I don't know whether or not they celebrate it and I don't know what is their religion. To me, saying "Merry Christmas" does seem to have a religious connection behind it since I think that the holiday used to have pagan roots (although I'm not too sure about the exact history behind it). However, I wouldn't dislike it if anyone says "Merry Christmas" to me because they may have a different intention for saying it. Maybe they are not even religious, but only celebrate Christmas as a cultural thing. I, personally, view it more as a religious holiday than a cultural one. But that's just my opinion. For some people, maybe Christmas is a holiday which is both religious and cultural at the same time. Atheists, however, celebrate Christmas only as a cultural part of their lives (i.e. to meet each other, have parties, drink, dance, go outside, etc). So, the point is that people have different reasons for celebrating Christmas and the same goes for saying "Merry Christmas," I suppose.
However, I disagree that saying "Merry Christmas" is THAT bad as the guy in the video argues.
And saying that not worse than killing a person. I would be okay with saying "Merry Christmas" to a Christian or anyone else that celebrates it.
Are muslims supposed to abstain from drink, and do you? (christmas got me thinking about drink)
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

When my Hindu students wish me a happy Diwali, or my Chinese kids bring me a gift for the Chinese new year, I am always honored-not because of the religion, but because of the humanity. The monotheists fuck everything up. Xmas isn't even their holiday:They stole it.
We ought to call it Kleptmas. Merry Kleptmas, you unoriginal fucks.

To all muslims, I wish you a gray, drizzling, depressing day of impotent frustration and spiteful resentment on this occassion of your religious enemie's nauseating commercialization of the miscalculated birthday of one of your own prophets.

Actually, they can't.
It's theologically on par with Shirk, since Christianity declares Jesus God's son or even worse, God himself.
But well, in places where those two coexist, I think it's common to celebrate eachother's holidays.
I've seen that in Istanbul, although it's not really that common in other parts of Turkey, since Istanbul has the largest christian population in Turkey overall(except for some cities in the east, which have chaldeans, but they are arab so they don't count).
